Now is a creative professional who has been in a long-term relationship with her boyfriend for over ten years, yet she has never received the clarity or commitment that a loving partnership should provide. Ultimately, she decides to end the relationship and make a firm resolution that if she ever begins a new connection with someone, it will be without defining their status—so as to avoid expectations and prevent herself from experiencing the same pain again. However, her resolve is put to the test when she meets Tan, a man who appears to embody everything she has been searching for. His presence soon becomes a pivotal turning point, leading her to discover that ambiguity can, in fact, represent another form of clarity—on that is capable of inflicting emotional pain no less severe than that of her past.
