The day of Arden and Mordred's visit arrives. The compound empties until the four are alone with Simon. Two separate convoys move through London toward the same address - Vane and Nico from the north, Mordred and Arden from the south - while in the compound the confrontation finally begins. Simon, with nowhere left to go, starts talking. This time he frames Vane as the monster. The Iris/Elias rift tears back open, and their emotional surge builds. Lights flicker, air pressure shifts, something in the room feels wrong. Just when it seems things will get out of control, Nico arrives, steps through the door, and calmly tells them all to settle down, unaware the convoy from the south is only three minutes away.
